Two township brothers have been charged with drug offenses following an investigation by township police and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.
Charged Tuesday were Daniel Struble, 27, and Kevin Struble, 23, both of Fairfield Lane.
Daniel Struble was charged with illegal possession of oxycodone and illegal possession of Alprazolam. Kevin Struble was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were released on their own recognizance.
As a result of a continuing investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence and vehicle of Kevin Struble, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano said.
At approximately 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, prosecutor's office detectives and Hillsborough officers saw Kevin Struble driving his Chevrolet Tahoe on Homestead Road and conducted a motor-vehicle stop, the prosecutor said.
A search of the vehicle found less than 50 grams of marijuana and a digital scale, Soriano said. Kevin Struble was placed under arrest.
The detectives and officers then went to Kevin Struble's home to execute the search warrant and found marijuana, 15 Alprazolam pills and 10 oxycodone pills in Daniel Struble's bedroom, Soriano said. Daniel Struble then was arrested.
Detectives also found marijuana and numerous Ziploc bags in Kevin Struble's bedroom, the prosecutor said.
Soriano said the estimated street value of the seized marijuana is about $450. The Alprazolam has a street value of $300 and the oxycodone has a street value of $200, Soriano said.
